Predicted Line-ups for All 20 Premier League Teams: Gameweek 38

The finale! Expect chaos to ensue!! 💥

Averaging 87% accuracy this season ✅

🟢🟡🟠🔴 = Likelihood of a start

(%) = Accuracy on previous predictions

🆕 = New players in the lineup

⚠️ = Concerns

ARSENAL (87%)

🆕 Jesus, Martinelli, Madueke, Dowman, Zubimendi, Lewis-Skelly, Hincapié, Nørgaard, Kepa

⚠️ White, Merino, Timber

There are two ways to look at this, and they mean opposites for the lineup:

With the title wrapped up and the Champions League next week, it’s the perfect time to totally rest everyone in preparation. Look how much it’s benefited PSG.

On the other hand, will Arteta want to keep players' match sharpness up, maybe start a few and sub them early?

We won’t know, and unfortunately that makes players a minefield. Nobody is a safe pick in this one.

If you genuinely wanted to punt on someone, I think Gabriel Jesus is your best bet personally.

ASTON VILLA (86%)

🆕 Abraham, Sancho, Bailey, Barkley, Onana, Douglas Luiz, Maatsen, Mings, Bogarde, Garcia, Bizot

⚠️ Kamara

This one I’m a lot more confident about regarding the rotation.

Villa have guaranteed Champions League football, so I expect every player who played in that final to be rotated.

Now that may not happen, as Emery is a very tactically adept manager, but that’s what I expect to happen. It gives minutes to those who haven’t had as many.

BOURNEMOUTH (87%)

🆕 Adams, Rayan

⚠️ Jiménez, Christie

Bournemouth are still well in the hunt for Champions League football, so expect full strength from them, with the likes of Kluivert and Brooks to help out later on.

BRENTFORD (86%)

🆕 Van de Ven, Schade, Henderson

⚠️ Henry

I expect Schade to come back into the side for the final game, and I’ve punted on Henderson, although he may wish to keep himself fit for the World Cup.

Brentford will go all out to secure a spot in Europe.

Van de Ven vs Ajer is uncertain for me.

BRIGHTON (86%)

🆕 Gomez

⚠️ Mitoma, Webster

They also have the chance for European football, so will play their strongest side.

BURNLEY (86%)

🆕 Dubravka

⚠️ Cullen

They have to prevent being overtaken by last-place Wolves.

I expect Dubravka to start for his last game at the club.

CHELSEA (84%)

🆕 Hato, Colwill, James, João Pedro

⚠️ Lavia, Gusto, Estêvão, Gittens, João Pedro

The immediate surprise I’ve predicted here is no Cucurella.

I imagine he’ll still start, but Hato has performed excellently recently and Colwill has too. That’s two left-footed defenders, so I can’t see both as the centre-back pairing, which means leaving Cucurella out (for me).

João Pedro will start if he’s fit enough.

CRYSTAL PALACE (91%)

🆕 Guessand, Johnson, Lerma, Hughes

⚠️ Doucouré, Richards, Sosa, Nketiah

Expect resting of key players in preparation for next week.

I also imagine a lot of half-time substitutions. The Munoz/Mitchell swap feels very likely. I’d avoid both of them.

EVERTON (89%)

⚠️ Branthwaite, Grealish, Gana

Unchanged.

Yes, Europe is no longer possible for Everton, but Moyes has confirmed the team will try their hardest to finish in the top half and earn more money for the club.

Plus, he’ll have a motive to help out his former club West Ham.

FULHAM (86%)

🆕 Raúl, King, Kevin, Wilson, Cairney

⚠️ Andersen, Sessegnon

Hard to say whether this is rotation or not, but Europe is out of the question for Fulham.

Wilson and Raúl should play as a nice send-off for their last games, and Kevin is a punt for the heavily contested left-wing spot.

LEEDS (89%)

🆕 Bogle, Gnonto, Byram, Meslier

⚠️ Gudmundsson, Okafor, Gruev, Stach, Aaronson, Bogle, Struijk

Could have read this one wrong as Leeds are unlikely to move from 14th position, but I expect most of the regulars to start.

Byram and Meslier may be handed farewell appearances, although Darlow’s contract is up as well.

Not a lot has been given away regarding injuries, so guesses have to be made.

LIVERPOOL (89%)

🆕 Salah, Wirtz, Jones

⚠️ Alisson, Mamardashvili, Bradley, Endo, Ekitiké, Isak

The Kop will be buzzing to give Salah the send-off he deserves.

It’s Robertson’s last game too, so he’ll be sure to start.

MANCHESTER CITY (84%)

🆕 Foden, Cherki, Stones, Gvardiol, Rúben Dias

Fully fit.

A really interesting one.

It’s the final game for long-time servants of the club Bernardo Silva and Stones, so it’ll be them plus nine others.

As for the rest, I imagine the players who’ve been there a long time, like Rodri, Foden, and Rúben Dias, will start for Pep’s farewell game.

Very unpredictable though; it’s the most uncertainty we’ve had all season from a very tame Pep.

MANCHESTER UNITED (88%)

🆕 Dorgu, Mount, Heaven

⚠️ De Ligt, Casemiro, Šeško

With the Bruno Fernandes assist record in mind, you have to imagine Manchester United will still go quite strong.

Dorgu starting isn’t likely, but it’s what I’ve predicted in any case.

I feel like Shaw has to start to make it 38/38 starts, a pretty incredible achievement for him physically.

Heaven is a guess at Carrick rewarding a young player with game time.

NEWCASTLE UNITED (85%)

🆕 Burn

⚠️ Tonali, Joelinton, Krafth, Livramento, Miley, Schär

Tonali is a doubt going into this (should be an orange circle, but I can’t change the graphic now).

I believe Gameweek 37 was the last game for Trippier, but I might be wrong.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST (88%)

🆕 Sangaré

⚠️ Murillo, Aina, Savona, Hudson-Odoi, Ndoye

I think Forest will want to end on a high, but really I wouldn’t be surprised by some rotation here.

SPURS (83%)

🆕 Solanke

⚠️ Romero, Davies, Xavi, Kudus, Odobert, Kulusevski

Obviously full strength for Spurs.

Solanke will be a late decision, but if he’s not fit it’ll be Richarlison up top and one of about five different options on the wing.

Udogie vs Spence is the other possible change.

SUNDERLAND (88%)

🆕 O'Nien

⚠️ Talbi, Mundle, Alderete, Ballard

Full strength with what’s available (at least what Le Bris believes is the case) to push for that European spot.

Beating Chelsea means overtaking them, which massively boosts Sunderland’s chances.

WEST HAM UNITED (88%)

🆕 Taty, Pablo

⚠️ Adama

Think Nuno has to revert to a back four for this crucial game, with Todibo sacrificed for Pablo.

Taty the workhorse over Wilson. Big shock that he didn’t start the previous fixture.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (81%)

🆕 H. Bueno

⚠️ Johnstone, Doherty

Wolves found a system that really worked against Fulham (if only they found that out earlier), so I expect the same.

H. Bueno was carrying a niggle in the previous fixture, so should return to the XI.
