ARSENAL: (87%)
⚠️ Bruno G, Timber, Saliba
Bruno G being a doubt makes it more likely that Rice comes into the starting lineup, despite the amount of minutes he played last season.
Right wing is a really tough call. I currently have it: Madueke 40%, Saka 30%, Dowman 30%. It could really be any of the 3, but Madueke started the Shield and I think keeps his spot for Gameweek 1.
Havertz the preferred #9, although I'm not as confident as most Arsenal fans seem to be.
Hincapie unlikely to start.
ASTON VILLA: (84%)
⚠️ Gomes, Onana, Madjo, Abraham, Manzambi
With Madjo and Abraham both injured, I don't really see how Watkins doesn't start, despite the ongoing transfer rumours.
Garnacho has looked rusty in pre-season, so I think Hemmings gets the nod at left wing, but this really is a punt.
I think Suzuki comes straight in too! Obviously, there's a big chance he doesn't, but I think he'll be needed.
Lindelof the most likely to fill in the space from Konsa's absence.
BOURNEMOUTH: (88%)
⚠️ Milosavljevic, Soler, Araujo, Sanchez, Kroupi Jr, Adams, Scott, Adli, Brooks, Christie, Rodriguez
Loads of injuries here, and various levels of severity.
Scott, Adams, Sanchez and Rodriguez were all back in training this week. Scott seems to be fine to start, Adams was "only good for 60 minutes tops" and Sanchez had an injury in pre-season but is ready to contribute.
Rayan fills in the "2nd striker" role.
BRENTFORD: (87%)
⚠️ Van Den Berg, Carvalho, Milambo
I don't expect any changes from the side that won 7-0.
Left back is the hardest position to call, with 3 options there, and Damsgaard and Yarmoliuk will provide contention for the midfield spots.
Schade and Dango will start ahead of Anthony.
BRIGHTON: (86%)
⚠️ Struijk, Minteh, Mitoma, Baleba, Tzimas
Impossible to say for sure whilst Brighton still have a fixture against Tromsø.
Looks like Hinshelwood and De Cuyper have gotten nice rests before Gameweek 1, I feel mostly confident on them.
Will we see mass rotation in that game or this one? We can't know, so this prediction is based on who's available and that there aren't wholesale changes.
The most competitive spots are the striker position and both centre backs.
CHELSEA: (83%)
⚠️ Fofana, Henderson
It's most likely Xabi will line up with a back 3, but expect this attack to be fluid.
With Fofana suspended, James will likely go to centre back with Enzo coming into the team, but this comes with risk given the current transfer speculation around him.
Wingbacks are the riskiest spots here.
COVENTRY
⚠️ Rudoni, Mason-Clarke, Wright
The signing of Awoniyi puts Simms' chances of starting at risk, but I think it'll just be a cameo.
The new signing of Hamer will surely come into the team at some point, and can play on the left or in midfield. Interested to see where he's preferred.
Kitching is an option at centre back, but Thomas + Amenda looks to be the first-choice pairing.
Sakamoto has a chance of starting here, but he didn't start in Coventry's final friendly.
CRYSTAL PALACE: (89%)
⚠️ Henderson
Henderson picked something up in the final friendly and is a doubt for this one.
Mateta is available, but given the lack of pre-season, Strand Larsen looks good to start, as does Sarr given his transfer speculation.
Mingueza comes in for Munoz, who looks very sure to be leaving, but Khalaili is another option there who just joined the club.
EVERTON: (90%)
⚠️ Garner, Iroegbunam, Norgaard
The biggest dilemma here is the final attacker.
I've gone with Dibling. He's looked decent in pre-season and allows Ndiaye to play his preferred left wing position, but this spot could be George, Johnson or even Rohl.
Speaking of, him and O'Brien have been alternating the right back spot, so that's a toss-up as well.
Many fans are calling for Tarkowski to be dropped, but I don't see that happening.
With all the injuries in midfield, Hackney and Armstrong look good to start.
FULHAM: (85%)
⚠️ Andersen, Cairney
Bobb looks good to start on the right, but Kevin is an option on the left to contest with Palacious.
Plenty of players can play the 10 role, it'll be tough for someone to nail down that position.
Tete and Castagne is a close call at right back, but Robinson feels more likely at left back than Sessegnon.
Andersen is suspended.
HULL
⚠️ Butland, Hughes, Drameh, Jacob, Matazo, Zambrano, Gyabi, Gelhardt, Morita
Same lineup as the final one in pre-season.
Lots of discussion about a back 5. This could definitely be the case against Man United.
IPSWICH
⚠️ Matusiwa, Taylor
Enciso is a big punt, given he joined the club about 4 days ago, so maybe a bench appearance makes more sense.
Fatawu missed the last pre-season game but is the preferred choice on the right, with Maeda on the left.
Clarke and Philogene are also alternatives, but neither are seen as starters.
Florentino should partner Lukic, but there's Nunez and Egeli as options as well.
LEEDS: (89%)
⚠️ Gudmundsson, Gruev, Gnonto, Okafor
There are 6 players for 5 spots in Farke's defence, but with Gudmundsson injured, this makes the other 5 near guarantees.
The only real maybe here is Aaronson. This could be Okafor if he's deemed fit enough.
LIVERPOOL: (89%)
⚠️ Bradley, Gomez, Leoni, Jones, Ekitike
With the options Liverpool have right now, there aren't many risks here.
Jacquet certainly looks to be the favoured partner to Van Dijk, but the risk of Araujo is always there.
Ngumoha has been the one used on the right wing, but I can't see this lasting for very long.
MAN CITY: (82%)
⚠️ Matheus N, Doku
Weird seeing this much green on a Man City lineup!
Guehi is the player I feel conflicted about leaving out, but I've seen no indication in pre-season that he'll start, with Gvardiol and Dias being the preferred pair.
I think there's a good chance Ait-Nouri plays on the left wing if Semenyo is preferred on the right.
MAN UNITED: (88%)
⚠️ Darlow, De Ligt, Mount, Ugarte, Sesko
Cunha benched. I just think Mbeumo is preferred at 9 (at least whilst Sesko is a doubt), and Dorgu on the left, but he could very well start.
There's a chance, though, that it's Cunha up top and Mbeumo on the right. I think Mbeumo's chances of a start are very high, but not guaranteed.
NEWCASTLE: (83%)
⚠️ Livramento, Joelinton
Easily the team I'm the least confident on. I mean, what is going on?
Dedic has just joined. Is he really going to go straight in?
I've put Ramsey as the 10, although we've regularly seen one of the strikers filling in this role.
Steur is liked by the fans, maybe he starts, with Lewis Miley having a lack of pre-season.
Burn got made the captain by Jaissle. You would assume this means he's starting over Botman.
Tough one to predict.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST: (87%)
⚠️ Savona, Yates
Ndoye has been the attacker of choice to partner alongside Gibbs-White in pre-season.
Diomande should slot straight into the team, but I'm less confident about Schlager, as McAtee has been used there too during pre-season.
Wingbacks are nailed until another option comes in.
SPURS: (84%)
⚠️ Xavi, Kudus, Odobert, Kulusevski
A lack of pre-season for Van De Ven and Porro means Senesi and Gray start.
Gallagher the preferred 10 over Maddison.
Mikey Moore put in a performance last weekend that said, "that right wing spot is mine". Surely he starts.
SUNDERLAND: (89%)
⚠️ Mukiele, Alderete, Meunier, Adingra
Going by Le Bris' wording in his press conference, it sounds like Meunier is in a much better state than Mukiele or Alderete.
So, I've predicted Meunier starts and this pushes Hume up to right wing.
Alderete back would push O'Nien out of the side and Mukiele would push Meunier out.
None of the 3 being available would mean Hume at right back and likely Talbi at right wing.
