Here are the lineups from ALL 20 Premier League teams’ final preseason game ✍️
⚽️ = Goal
🅰️ = Assist
🛡️ = DefCon (not all games had data)
ARSENAL
3-0 win vs Man City
- Ødegaard ⚽️
- Calafiori ⚽️
- Havertz ⚽️
- Tzolis 🅰️🅰️
- Lewis-Skelly 🅰️
- White 🛡️
A fantastic performance from the gunners, the back 4 is looking set in stone, but Hincapie will cause an early sub.
We all saw how advanced Calafiori was, almost an inverted winger at times.
Ødegaard was very impressive, think his spot in the side will be secure.
Madueke 60 mins, Saka 30, tough to call who starts Coventry.
Tzolis looks nailed at the left wing spot with Martinelli not even making the bench.
ASTON VILLA
2-1 loss vs Mönchengladbach
- McGinn ⚽️
- Buendia 🅰️
What looks like a completely rotated side, obviously due to the Super Cup 3 days prior.
That game gives us a far better indicator of the starting lineup for Aston Villa, I would avoid every player that played here.
BOURNEMOUTH
2-1 loss vs Mainz
- Evanilson ⚽️
- Silva 🅰️
Evanilson looks like he’ll keep his spot up front, the 3 behind him pick themselves with Kroupi Jr. out.
Scott was suspended, he’ll be back for Gameweek 1, but Juanlu’s absence wasn’t identified as far as I’m aware.
BRENTFORD
7-0 win vs Frankfurt
- Schade ⚽️⚽️🅰️🅰️
- Thiago ⚽️⚽️🅰️
- Dango ⚽️
- Sangaré ⚽️
- Lewis-Potter ⚽️
- Jensen 🅰️
- Kayode 🅰️
- Collins 🅰️
A very impressive performance from Brentford, and this team will likely stick for Gameweek 1.
Plenty of options to choose from here, all of the defenders, Sangaré, and all 3 attackers.
BRIGHTON
1-0 vs Bologna
- Hinshelwood ⚽️
- Wieffer 🅰️
- Vušković 🛡️
With Minteh and Mitoma both injured, De Cuyper and Gomez look sure to be the wingers.
Looks to be Brighton’s preferred XI, but remember they have a European fixture before Gameweek 1.
CHELSEA
3-1 win vs Real Sociedad
- João Pedro ⚽️⚽️🅰️
- Rogers ⚽️
- James 🅰️
- Gusto 🅰️
João Pedro continues his form.
James played in midfield, with Fofana at right centre back.
Enzo on the bench, other than him coming into the side I would expect 10 of these players to start GW1.

COVENTRY
2-0 win vs Monaco
- Simms ⚽️
- Tchaouna ⚽️
- Grimes 🅰️
- Yirenkyi 🅰️
- Thomas 🛡️
- Van Ewijk 🛡️
With Wright, Rudoni, and Mason-Clark all injured, it looks like this attack will stick (Awoniyi will contest).
Thomas and Amenda the preferred centre back pairing.
CRYSTAL PALACE
3-0 loss vs Freiburg
With Pino and Mateta getting 0 minutes I would expect something like this GW1.
Muñoz benched as he seeks a move away, proceedings at the end certainly looked like he’s off.
EVERTON
1-1 draw vs Lille
- Ndiaye ⚽️ (penalty)
- Dewsbury-Hall 🅰️
Barry starts again, looks to be the favoured striker option.
Ndiaye a certain starter, Dibling starts this one, but George or Johnson will be competing.
O’Brien the other you would expect could come into the side.
FULHAM
1-0 win vs Stuttgart
- Castagne ⚽️
- Iwobi 🅰️
Solid defensive performance from Fulham.
Charles subbed on for King, I suspect when he starts it’ll push Iwobi further forward.
Missing players played in a friendly earlier.
HULL
0-0 draw vs Nice
Stroud played left wing, Millar will compete for minutes there.
With Morita a doubt we have two £4.5m midfield starters in Slater and Crooks.
Back 4 looks locked, but I’d avoid them unfortunately.
IPSWICH
4-2 win vs Union Berlin
- Emersonn ⚽️
- J. Clarke ⚽️
- O'Shea ⚽️
- McAteer ⚽️
- Walle Egeli 🅰️🅰️
- Davis 🅰️
- Mehmeti 🅰️
Lots to talk about here.
I was very impressed with Davis in terms of FPL, he was insanely advanced, which will also make right wingers vs Ipswich something to keep an eye out for (Hume? 👀).
£4.5m forward Walle Egeli started again (in midfield) and bagged 2 assists (although he didn’t know much about either), a very nice risky point for bench boost Gameweek 1.
Greaves the only defender in the back 4 not nailed, with O'Shea at right back it does hurt his defcon potential, and despite scoring Davis is the far superior attacking option.
Davis and Diop would be my considerations, a nailed J. Clarke would be great on pens but sadly he won’t be.
LEEDS
4-0 win vs Augsburg
- Stach ⚽️
- Muharemović ⚽️
- Justin ⚽️
- Nmecha ⚽️
- Calvert-Lewin 🅰️🅰️
- Aaronson 🅰️
- Tanaka 🅰️
This lineup will very very likely stick for Gameweek 1, and Leeds looked GOOD.
There’s plenty of options here, Rodon/Justin/Bogle for cheap defenders, Muharemović/Ampadu for defcon, Stach for routes to points, Calvert-Lewin for the Talisman.
LIVERPOOL
vs Como (ongoing)
I’m almost certain this will be the Gameweek 1 lineup.
Jacquet feels mispriced at £5m in the Liverpool defence.
Ngumoha the most at risk, but think he’ll start on the right for the beginning of the season.
MAN CITY
3-0 loss vs Arsenal
A predictable Man City lineup, but plenty of capable options on the bench.
Guéhi, Matheus Nunes, Aït-Nouri, Marmoush, Cherki, even Grealish will take minutes away from many players.
Doku picked up a knock, keep an eye on pressers for info about him.
MAN UNITED
4-2 loss vs AC Milan
- Dorgu ⚽️
- Maguire ⚽️
- B. Fernandes 🅰️
Mbeumo benched, presumably to give the likes of Cunha and Amad preseason minutes, but it does cast doubt on the nailedness with 6 players for 3 positions.
Classic Maguire headed goal from a Bruno corner.
NEWCASTLE
1-2 loss to Bayer Leverkusen
- Thiaw ⚽️
- Elanga 🅰️
A fairly lackluster performance from Newcastle.
Elanga minutes look good on the right, the strikers continue to alternate.
Mason Miley starts at right back again and is still yet to be priced in FPL.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST
2-0 win vs Brest
- Netz ⚽️🅰️
- Wood ⚽️
- Domínguez 🅰️
This was a full B-team from Forest, I’d avoid every single player as I don’t think any will start GW1.
This game really highlighted the Glasner system in full effect, Williams could be a stellar option.
SUNDERLAND
2-1 win vs Rennes
- Brobbey ⚽️
- Hume ⚽️
Similar situation to Chelsea where I’d say 10 of the players are sure to start Gameweek 1, the only difference being one of the wingers.
Hume scores again (right place at the right time from a clearance), certainly interesting.
SPURS
3-0 win vs Hoffenheim
- Moore ⚽️⚽️
- Richarlison ⚽️
- Tel 🅰️🅰️
- Robertson 🅰️
There was some debate about the right wing spot for Spurs, but Mikey Moore has made a solid case for that position to start the season.
No Porro likely means Gray starts the season at right back.
Van De Ven was absent, possibly one to look out for.
